It is time to unveil the design for the hall bathroom in our house! The bathroom is between the two guest bedrooms and is in need of some functionality and layout updates. Looking below at the before, you can see the bathroom is very dated and has only one sink.
The bathtub is also unusually large for the room and the wall in the middle of the room cuts off the space which makes the room feel much smaller.
With demo complete, you can see how pushing the wall back to fit a standard tub opens up the space. (Pardon the mess!) We have also added plumbing for a 2 sink vanity which will add more functionality to the space.
Below is our Mood Board! This bistro inspired bathroom has clean lines and timeless touches with the classic subway tile and Carrara marble hexagon floors. The white subway tile will fill the wall behind the vanity from floor to ceiling. The vanity I sourced has arrived and it has a gorgeous marble top. It was very affordable at Wayfair, but it looks high end. I wanted a double sink as it add some much functionality to this space. What really makes the design in this bathroom are the fun bistro lights which will be placed in between the vanity mirrors and on the adjacent walls on the sides of the vanity.
The subway tile will continue around the bathtub/shower opening to continue this classic style. The faucets have a vintage look that fits in well with the design of this space. The hot and cold labeled handles are such a special touch! Classic hardware in polished chrome will give the vanity a custom look. It was my husband's idea to hang his Vanity Fair Spy Prints in this bathroom. As he adds more to his collection, they will have a spot on the wall in this bathroom! A few examples of these prints are below. They are a fun antique collectable and they will fit perfectly in this space!
